mosaic of an angel at tigbauan church

This mosaic, based on the angel that adorns the image of the Guadalupana, is found at the parish church of San Juan de Sahagun in Tigbauan. The church at Tigbauan, Iloilo was built by the Augustinian friars, along with many other churches in the Visayas. Tigbauan's facade is in the Mexican plateresque style. The church interior was gutted during the Second World War. The mosaics adorning the church interior were created by a local artist in the last two decades.
